This page explains what information Vines of Heaven (vinesofheaven.site) collects when you visit, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than dense legal text — if anything here is unclear, email us at vinesofheavenofficial@gmail.com and we'll explain it properly.
What information we collect
We collect a few different kinds of information, depending on how you use the site:
- Comments. If you leave a comment on a post, Blogger (our hosting platform, owned by Google) stores your name, comment text, and the time it was posted, along with a Google account ID if you're signed in when commenting.
- Newsletter subscription. If you subscribe to our email list, we store the email address you provide in a private Google Sheet, used only to send you plant care updates. We do not sell, rent, or share this list with anyone.
- Cookies and analytics. Like most websites, Vines of Heaven uses cookies for basic site functionality and may use analytics tools to understand which posts are useful to readers and which aren't. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.
- Automatically collected data. Standard technical information — browser type, approximate location, device type — is collected automatically through Blogger's hosting infrastructure, as it is on nearly every website.
How we use this information
In short: to run the site, improve it, and (if you've opted in) send you the newsletter. We don't use your information for anything beyond that, and we don't sell personal data to third parties.
Third-party services
This site is hosted on Blogger, a Google product, which has its own privacy practices covering the underlying hosting and comment system. Our newsletter sign-up is processed through Google Sheets via a private script that only we have access to. If we ever add advertising to this site (for example, through Google AdSense), this policy will be updated to reflect that, and AdSense's own data practices would apply to any ads shown.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites function and remember basic preferences. You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time, though some site features may not work as smoothly without them. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send, or by emailing us directly.
- You can request that we delete any personal data we hold about you by emailing vinesofheavenofficial@gmail.com.

Children's privacy
Vines of Heaven isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your information, we'll update the date at the top of this page. We'd encourage checking back occasionally, though we'll never make quiet changes that reduce your privacy without saying so here.
